This delicious *Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie* will be your new favorite!!

This year for Thanksgiving, I wanted to try something new for dessert, in addition to our traditional favorite: pumpkin pie. I chose a chocolate bourbon pecan pie! I love pecan pie, and chocolate, so this had to happen! Let me tell you, this pie is FANTASTIC!!! I searched in all my dozens of coolbooks, and only found one recipe. And to my surprise, I found it in my husband’s Big Green Egg Cookbook. So here ya go, I had to share it with you! Bake it for Thanksgiving or Christmas, or for a Tuesday night dessert! Bon Appetit!!
Ingredients:
1 cup dark corn syrup
3 large eggs, beaten
5 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup bourbon
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 TBSP all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
1 nine-inch pie shell
Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the corn syrup, butter, bourbon, and eggs (make sure eggs are cool).
3. In another bowl, blend brown sugar and flour.
4. Mix wet and dry ingredients together.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
6. Pour into pie shell.
7. Bake pie for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Cool, serve, and enjoy!!
