☀️✨“I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, for friends that turned into family, for dreams that turned into reality.”
🍁 🦃 Hello beautiful friends! In today’s class, we dove into gratitude as Thanksgiving approaches in a few days! We opened with an Anjali mudra, inhaling as our hands formed a bowl, filling it with gratitude for our lungs filled with air, for our body to freely move, for the gift of sight as the sun rises, the gift of seeing the beauty all around us! Gratitude for the gift of smell & taste as delicious aromas soon to fill our homes, for hearing as we listen to laughter & stories shared from generations before us. And gratitude for touch, as we embrace our friends & family with warm hugs!
🍁We opened with a hot meal pranayama practice, moved in yummy ways, opened our heart & lungs with thankfulness. Somatic experiencing gave us tools to regulate our own nervous system! We may even need to use these techniques on Thanksgiving Day, quietly excusing ourselves from the table, if politics are being discussed (a big no no!😂) or maybe someone said the turkey was dry🙄… and walking to a calm space to lower the heart rate & blood pressure. It works, I promise!! 🫶🏻 Take time for yourself in a stressful moment, you are allowed to! You, and everyone around you, will be in a healthier mindset when you return to the table, and change the subject! 🤎 We healed with reiki & shed the false layers we’ve accumulated: judgement, self-doubt, worry, stress, comparison, unworthiness. Yoga helps us shed what we no longer need, so we may see our most honest selves!
🍂That’s what I LOVE about yoga, it nourishes the body, heals the mind, & renews the soul! What we do on the mat, transforms our life off the mat! It is beautiful!!
🍁Stay tuned for more on how my yoga classes can transform our daily lives!🫶🏻 🍁🤎💛
